The dubious decision that created all havoc

I wonder if the decision to shift the capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam was taken in haste or a calculated one to balance the developmental activities. If yes, what happens to all the buildings that are built for High Court, Secretariat employees and other government bodies? This is a huge loss to the public exchequer. Is the government planning to create a ghost town? The erstwhile capital of Andhra Pradesh has witnessed no growth except in the real estate sector. The naysayers have a different view. They claim that the real estate is associated with 19 other sectors which have also grown during the past 5-year term. But, it is exactly how the economy grows. Every sector has its tentacles spread out and no sector can grow in isolation.

Vijayawada, the financial capital of Andhra Pradesh is dominated by a Kamma community and is a strong foothold of the Telugu Desam Party. Though, the TDP was thoroughly defeated in the Krishna district.  It still happens to be a constituency where the party has enough base to grow back and continue its legacy.

Did this decision incense the farmers who gave their lands to APCRDA? One can definitely presume so given the pain, they were put through. Every farmer who gave land is jobless now. It is to be realized, Indian farmers are selfless and down to earth. Generations together developed no skills except in farming.
